  • Dr. Yaron Daniely

    Dr. Yaron Daniely

    Dr. Yaron Daniely has been the President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Alcobra Ltd, since March 2010. Immediately prior to joining Alcobra and since 2007, Dr. Daniely was the President and Chief Executive Officer of NanoCyte, Inc., a company that develops transdermal delivery technologies based in Caesarea, Israel. Before NanoCyte and from 2004, Dr. Daniely was the General Manager of Gamida Cell—Teva Joint Venture Ltd., a joint venture company that acquired an exclusive license to develop and commercialize a Phase 3-stage cell therapy product for treatment of Leukemia and Lymphoma based in Jerusalem, Israel. From 2003-2007, Dr. Daniely also served as the Vice President of Business Development of Gamida Cell Ltd., and engaged in several licensing and financial transactions for the Company. In addition, he co-founded and served as a director of Bioblast Ltd. (NASADQ:ORPN). Dr. Daniely holds a B.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences from Florida International University, and holds a Ph.D. from the Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences at the New York University School of Medicine. Following his doctoral program, Dr. Daniely served as an NIH Visiting Fellow in its Cell Biology section and a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Molecular Cell Biology at The Weizmann Institute for Science in Israel. Subsequently, he received an Executive M.B.A. from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Daniely co-founded Israel’s first M.B.A. program specializing in Biomedical Management at the College of Management Academic Studies (Rishon Letzion, Israel) and has served as the program’s director since its inception.

    Dr. Ido Schechter, CEO

    Ido possesses a rare combination of business savviness combined with academic excellence in Agritech. He brings with him over 20 years of hands-on managerial experience. Prior to joining Agrinnovation in 2015, Ido served as CEO and Board Member of Top Image Systems, a NASDAQ and TLV Stock Exchange company, where he established worldwide partner networks, M&A’s and global branches in the USA and throughout Europe and the Far East. Ido holds a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology, Biotech and Computer Modeling, and M.Sc. in Horticulture and Image Processing from the University of Guelph, Canada. He also holds a BA degree in Agriculture from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

  • Ehud Brant

    Ehud Brant

    Ehud is CEO of Klad, a joint venture between Avraham Livnat Ltd. and Kingenta Ecological Engineering Group, world leader in specialty fertilizers with revenues exceeding $2 billion. Klad specializes in utilizing Israeli innovations in agri-tech and bringing them to international markets. Prior to Klad, Ehud served as CFO and Deputy CEO of TAHAL, which specializes in water-related infrastructure projects. He also served as CFO and VP Operations of Adama, the largest generic producer and marketer of crop protection products, as well as Deputy CFO of Makhteshim and Treasurer of Netafim. He holds a BA, cum laude, in Economics and MBA from Ben Gurion University, Israel.

  • Sharon Cohen, CFO

    Sharon Cohen, CFO

    Mr. Cohen was appointed as Yissum’s CFO at the end of 2010. Prior to that, he served as Yissum’s controller since 2006. Previous experience includes the Finance Department of the Jewish Agency and KPMG Somekh Chaikin, accounting firm. Mr. Cohen is a Certified Public Accountant (Israel) and holds a BA degree in Business Management and Accounting and MBA (cum laude), both from the Israeli College of Management.


  • Dr. Eyal Emmanuel, CTO

    Dr. Eyal Emmanuel, CTO

    Dr. Eyal Emmanuel is the Chief Technology Officer for Agrinnovation investment fund.
    Eyal also serves as the Senior Vice-President of Scouting, Ideation and Technology at Yissum and is responsible for translating research results into commercial ready technologies within the Smith Faculty.

    Eyal brings to Agrinnovation over 10 years’ experience in heading multi-national and multidisciplinary R&D teams at Evogene, a leading biotechnology company specializing in crop productivity.

    Prior to joining Evogene, Eyal served as a researcher promoting biomedical research at Life Science Research Israel, Israel’s premier life sciences research center. Eyal holds a BSc in Agriculture from the Hebrew University and an MSc and PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Eyal also holds an MBA from the College of Management in Israel with a concentration in Bio-Medical Management.

  • Prof. Shmuel Wolf

    Prof. Shmuel Wolf

    Prof. Shmuel (Shmulik) Wolf is the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture. He holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture, M.Sc. in Field and Vegetable Crops, and Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He served as the Director of the Otto Warburg Minerva Center for Agricultural Biotechnology from 2002 to 2009, and as Vice Dean for Research from 2008 to 2012. Prof. Wolf received his professorship in 2007 and became Dean of the Faculty in July 2013.

  • Prof. Oded Shoseyov

    Prof. Oded Shoseyov

    Prof. Shoseyov is a faculty member of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and well-recognized researcher in plant molecular biology protein engineering and nano-biotechnology. His group focus is in Bio-Inspired Nanocomposite materials. Oded has authored or co-authored more than 160 scientific publications and is the inventor or co-inventor of 46 patents. He is the scientific founder of 10 companies and has received the Outstanding Scientist Polak Award for 2002, the 1999 and 2010 Kay Award for Innovative and Applied Research, and the 2012 Israel Prime Minister Citation for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

  • Prof. Haim Rabinowitch

    Prof. Haim Rabinowitch

    Haim Rabinowitch is Professor emeritus at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment and the Institute of Plant Science and Genetics. Previously he served as the Faculty’s Dean and Rector at the Hebrew University. His main research interests include physiology, genetics and breeding for yield, disease resistance, quality, flavor and long-shelf-life. Haim is an esteemed plant scientist recognized for co-developing the world’s first long shelf-life tomatoes, an achievement which earned the Kaye Innovation Award. In addition, he has been involved projects which have been commercialized by start-up companies. Professor Rabinowitch earned his BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees from The Hebrew University and conducted his post-doctorate research at The John Innes Institute in England.


  • Erez Meltzer

    Erez Meltzer

    Erez Meltzer is one of the leading business people in Israel with more than 30 years of experience as a CEO in various global companies. He is the chairman of the BOD of Hadassah Medical Center and the former Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Gadot Chemicals & Shipping Group and the CEO of Africa-Israel Ltd., one of the largest holding companies in Israel. Prior to Africa-Israel, he was the President and CEO of Netafim, the world leader in advanced irrigation-based solutions and agro-water technologies with projects in over 110 countries. Prior to Netafim, he was the President and CEO of Scitex, a world leader in the digital printing equipment industry. In 2007, Erez led the largest ever Israeli IPO when he listed AFI development on the LSE main list, raising $1.3B in capital. Erez Meltzer has been awarded the International Legacy Honor Award in the YPO, for his leadership, business achievements and contribution to the community. He was born in New York and studied Economics and Business in the Hebrew University and Boston University. He also graduated the Advanced Management program at Harvard Business School.

    Mr. Steinberg

    Mr. Steinberg has extensive experience in investment banking and financial markets. He served as chairman of the board of Psagot Ofek Investment House, a leading Israeli investment house, as well as a director of numerous funds and public and private companies. Mr. Steinberg was President and CEO of Ilanot Batucha Investment House and Clal Finance, the largest investment firm in Israel. Prior to that, he served as Managing Director of Etgar, and member of the board of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and Maalot, Israel’s rating company. He holds a BA degree from Tel Aviv University.
